Volunteer Firefighter

The City of Russell has an open opportunity available for a Volunteer Firefighter. This position performs work in preventing, combating, and extinguishing fires; responding to hazardous materials incidents and emergency calls which include special rescue situations such as vehicle and steep angle rescue.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and possess a high school diploma or GED. Volunteer Firefighters are expected to complete and pass an approved Firefighter I program within two years after hire. Resident of Russell County within six months of employment.

Power Plant Operator

Under the supervision of the Electric Utility Director and the Electric Production Superintendent, the Power Plant Operator is a non-exempt position under the FLSA who performs work in the City’s electrical generation facilities. The primary responsibilities include maintaining continuous operation of the generating units, monitoring the City’s connection with other electric utility systems, and delivering the necessary electrical power to the City’s electrical system. The employee is expected to select the appropriate combination of prime movers and related auxiliary equipment to produce electrical energy and monitor equipment operations for possible malfunctions. Involvement with other department heads and city staff. The employee is subject to other duties as assigned.

Physical Therapist

A licensed professional who provides coordinated care to patients of all age groups.  Plans, implements and evaluates patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well being.  Plans, organizes and conducts physical therapy treatment program based on the medical referral and their evaluation.  Collaborates with interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

*Current state license as a Physical Therapist

  *Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist

  *Current CPR and Hepatitis profile. 

  *Knowledge of durable medical equipment

 

Behavioral Health RN Case Manager 

Primary functions are to provide psychiatric evaluation and therapy, such as skilled nursing care, to home bound patients, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency; and assumes the responsibility for coordination of care.

Qualifications:

  1. Graduate of an accredited diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  2. Must have 1-2 years of nursing experience (within the last 3 years preferred) in an acute treatment unit in a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric hospitalization program, or other outpatient psychiatric service.
  3. Current state license as a Registered Nurse, Current state Driver’s License.
  4. Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis consent/declination.
  5. Reliable transportation with valid and current auto liability insurance.

LVN/LPN

Primary function is to administer skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, for clients of all ages in their place of residence, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
  • Current state license as a License Practical/Vocational Nurse, Current State’s Driver’s License.
  • Two years’ experience as a LPN/LVN, home health preferred.
  • Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis profile

 

Occupational Therapist
